Broadway

So, late last night I was watching a movie with my husband and in the background was a huge sign of the Phantom of the Opera (my favorite musical.) Here's a secret for the C5 (not really a secret anymore) but I am not afraid to bust out a little opera in the car, though I don't have the voice for it. I love the instrumentals, love the story line and wish I could actually see the chandelier fall. Did you know that the Phantom has been showing for 24 years? Yup, I said 24. What other show, except maybe Cats, has that long of a running as well as awards, 50 to be exact. So amazing, I tell you. Next time I'm up there, I AM GOING.

On another note...did you know that Momma Mia was showing the SAME weekend we were in NYC? Supposedly, it's the 'World's Most Popular Musical'! Oh man, we should have gone!!! G'ma would have loved that! Maybe next time?

.........well, that's all I have for now........love you all! Makaela

Two Weeks Later

Hi MP and the chosen!  I am still on full from our incredible weekend together.  God used our time together to fill me up to the brim with friendship, encouragement, and laughter.  Our time together in New York was better than I ever even contemplated or imagined.  Kendra, thanks again for ALL of your hard work!  I have felt the overflow in my time with the Lord in prayer and worship, in my energy level, and just life in general.  Thanks again for a great weekend that was full of fun and focused on the Lord!

Julie was here this week and so was Makaela!  Isn't that amazing!  Makaela, Lily and I went to lunch one day at Red Robin (Yes, we got to eat!!).  Lily is adorable!  We had a great time together!

Julie and I had a great week too.  What I wanted to tell you was that we ATE!  LOL!  One night we went to two different dessert places for dinner.  At the first stop we had red velvet cake and at the second stop we had this incredible chocolate cake - no dinner, just dessert.  We had dessert for dinner almost every night she was here.  I guess I do eat a lot after all!!!  HEE HEE By the way, she did go ON HER OWN to the Sandia Grill for breakfast burritos on TWO different mornings!

I also wanted to let you know that I have an email in to the Mr. Softee dealer in New Mexico to see where in this state there is a Mr. Softee truck!!!  So far, no hand bags to buy on the street!

I just wanted to get our blog up and going.  We can just see how it goes.  I put an invitation out to everyone to be an author, so i think everyone can post once you reply.  I think it will be a fun way to stay in touch and share what the Lord is teaching us.

Have a wonderful Sunday!

Love, Marie
